Natalia & Patrick & St. Mary’s Woburn & Sculpture Gallery, Woburn

This was always going to be a very special weekend.  My dear friend Natalia married Patrick in a fantastic wedding celebration on the stunning Woburn Estate.  I met Natalia 3.5 years ago when I took the wedding photographs for Gail & Tom (Patrick’s sister) at Buxted Park.  Since then we have worked together on weddings and attended courses together – oh did I also say – Natalia is also a wedding photographer !!  Tim & I drove up to Woburn on Thursday and spent a day and a half visiting Bletchley Park (home of the Enigma) followed by Woburn Safari Park and Woburn Abbey – wow – we don’t usually pack in as much in a short break but it was wonderful.

So to Saturday, we had been checking the weather forecast regularly for the past week and it was just about what they forecast – but we were  really lucky – some of the following images will show the great skies we had!  I started off at Natalia’s folks home in Woburn Sands for getting ready shots – I knew Natalia had chosen a stunning wedding dress by Caroline Castigliano, and it was beautiful, along with fab shoes by Gina and beautiful jewellery.  I was joined shortly afterwards by my good friend Leo Ferenc from, who was shooting the video for the day.  I then headed back to the boys who were staying close by at the Inn at Woburn for some fun shots and it was great to catch up again with Gail, Tom their son William and Patrick’s folks – Marian and Paul.  I then nipped back for final getting dressed shots before heading to St. Mary’s in Woburn.  After the ceremony we headed the short distance to the Woburn Estate, stopping off for a few quick photos en route. After a short sharp downpour, we were lucky enough to get back outside for the group shots and have time for Natalia, Patrick, Leo and myself to take some romantic shots around the grounds – far too many opportunities for one day, it really doesn’t get much better for photographic locations.  During the reception there were lots of surprises – Natalia and Patrick had really thought of everything for their day, from the beautiful singing in the church to a magician, surprise cake drop, singing waiters, gospel choir, photobooth, chocolate fountain and the best bestman’s video (Strictly Come Dancing) I have ever seen.   I must also mention the amazing cake made by Gail – with every single rose individual made and a big thank you to Ian Turland, General Manager at Woburn and all his staff for their tremendous help and organisation on the day. All in all it was a stunning day and I’m so delighted to have been a part of the day.
